More than 800 students from all over the Campania region will visit the industrial cycle of Cartesar. This is an opportunity to give the young and old, citizens, media, representatives of institutions and industry and sector operators a look into the reality of recycling cellulose-based materials. Among other things, the initiative is part of another larger “Raggio Verde” project: the photography exhibit “Pellezzano: Punta di Diamante Svizzera.” This spring event will be hosted at 6:30 pm in the monumental complex of the Spirito Santo hermitage of Pellezzano by the university associations “Vivi Unisa” and “Agee Network Meeting.” The main event will be held on Saturday April 12th at 10 a.m. at Cartesar SpA with the conference “Industry, Development, Territory and Environment: Comparing Excellence in Campania.” The Conference will be a presentation of important companies that defend and help the territory develop daily. In particular, the mayors of the Municipalities of Caiazzo, Casalvelino, Agerola, Eboli, Sorrento, and Cetara will focus their attention on: tourism, culture, love for traditions and, above all, will recount their excellent experiences for the results obtained in their territories with regards to separate waste collection. The conference will involve the participation of the President of Raggio Verde Francesco Morra, GM of Cartesar Felice De Iuliis, Mayor of Pellezzano Carmine Citro, Vice Director of Comieco Roberto Di Molfetta, and Director of Assocarta Massimo Medugno. Also, the Municipality of Castellabate will launch its challenge for 2015, “A year of growth,” at the conference moderated by Carlotta De Iuliis. A successful morning of participation aimed above all at regional associations and institutions framed in excellence: participation in the event by Maestro Riccardo Dalisi who will present his “Museo dei Bambini e del Riciclo” (Museum of Children and Recycling) project. The second edition of the Festival of the Environment in Pellezzano will officially close at the monumental complex of the Spirito Santo hermitage of Pellezzano on the sidelines of the Pellezzano photographic exhibit: “Punta di Diamante Svizzera,” accompanied by a musical journey that goes from “Bach to Morricone,” starting from classical music and passing through pop-rock, ethnic music, and soundtracks by the “AISDA Junior Ensemble” Group of the “Il suono dell’Arte” Academy of Pellezzano with artistic director Rino Barbarulo. Productions will be curated by Sabox, sponsors of the event. Official partners of the event include the Urban Park of the Irno, New Age Animazione e Spettacolo and the “S. Maria delle Grazie” National Civil Protection Service. Francesco Morra stated, “In a short time we have managed to put together a program of events aimed at raising awarness in citizens and public opinion about environmental issues, combining two projects in an exemplary manner, with the photography exhibit on industrial architecture and the Swiss textile industrial settlements and the Festival of the Environment but, above all we have succeeded in giving visibility to the excellence of the Campania region, which has especially distinguished itself in various sectors but above all in management of the integrated waste cycle thanks to Cartesar SpA, which certainly represents an industrial and entrepreneurial excellence in the recycling sector for all of southern Italy.”
